Marcelle Galluzzo
Designer/Pattern Maker
Marcelle is the owner of Marcelle Designs. She designs the clothing line, and drafts all of the patterns. She is also the webmistress of our website. She studied Fine Arts at Massachusetts College of Art and Fashion Design at The School of Fashion Design, Boston, MA. Her lifelong interest in art, sewing, and fashion has led to an extensive and varied career in the fashion industry. She has worked in sales and management in exclusive clothing boutiques, designed and sewn clothing for private clients, designed and produced a millinery line and a line of jewelry. After 9 years experience in the business, she opened her own clothing and accessories boutique, which she operated for 10 years. Her experience as owner of a women's wear boutique has given her a detailed understanding of what women look for in quality clothing.
"I founded Marcelle Designs because, as the owner and buyer for my boutique, I discovered many women had difficulty finding clothing they liked that fit well. I felt there was a need for well-crafted clothing with an emphasis on good fit, attention to detail, quality workmanship and luxurious fabrics. This business gives me an opportunity to combine all of my passions - art, design, fashion, sewing, computer technology and the web. I am fascinated by the concept that state-of-the-art computer technology allows me to offer a level of customization and personalized service previously available only in a couture setting."
